Early College Credit Programs

Early College Credit Program (Code #343.46)

Any junior or senior in the District has the option to participate in the Early College Credit Start College Now Program in accordance with State Law requirements and established procedures. Early College Credit program is defined as per ss 118.55. The Early College Credit Program provides eligible students an opportunity to take courses at technical colleges and institutions of higher education while in high school. Students interested in participating shall inform the District of their intention to take postsecondary courses under this program, prior to enrollment in the course(s) and within designated timelines. “Withdrawal” from enrolled Start College Now courses after the postsecondary grace period has expired will result in the student receiving a withdrawal on official Phelps High School transcripts.  Please see the Guidance Department for more information.
